Hello my friend!

Thanks for your message and photos :okok:

By the end of March your plant had about 1 month (from germination) and so it was mature enough to start flowering. It wouldn't start flowering if the photoperiod was of 14 hours or more. But by the end of March the hours of sun are usually between 12 and 13 hours (depending on the exact latitude).

That being said, not all plants would start flowering, so maybe in other plants that you grew in the same way this year or in previous years did not start flowering. But, some flower and some don't. This one started flowering due to the short photoperiod, as any hours of light fewer that 14 hours per day may trigger flowering in plants that are more sensitive.

We actually have clients who use photoperiod-dependent plants in the same season (starting in February or early March) so that they can be harvested between May and July. Most of the plants allow for this but, even these clients, sometimes get the opposite and plants don't start flowering until July.

So, starting between the 1st of February and the 15th of March, outdoors, does not assure you that the plants will only start flowering in the summer. Most likely some of them can start in the spring, as this one did. Now lets see if the plant keeps flowering or if it revegetates. But most likely it will keep flowering until it reaches maturity.

The good news is that if the plant keeps flowering you will have it ready to harvest between the 15th of June and the 5th of July. A early harvest so that you have something to smoke/vape during the summer. If you have other plants that are still vegging, then you have this one that will be harvested earlier and the other plants will be harvested in the end of the summer or beginning of autumn. If you don't have other plants and you want a seasonal harvest in the end of the summer, you are still on time to sprout one more seed (or several seeds).

If you want you can keep us updated with more photos along the next weeks.

Kind regards,

tommy

Hi again my friend!

How much do you think leek collect from this dry flower plant?

It is very hard to tell. I don't know the grow parameters, like size of the pot (if it is in a pot), type of soil mix, hours of direct sunlight that the plant gets, etc. But usually outdoors they produce a lot...

do you think it will come back to life now that the days are getting longer?

Usually, once they start, they keep flowering. The days are getting longer but it is very gradual, like 2 or 3 minutes per day. So the plants usually don't reply to this with revegetation. But we never know, you will have to wait and see what happens. Either way it will be fine, you'll probably get an harvest in about 6 to 9 weeks or if it revegetates you would harvest the plant as first expected, in September, with a much better yield.

Kind regards,

tommy
