Green Poison Fast Clones Performing Poorly

Hello -

I grew some truly spectacular Green Poison Fast plants from seed.  Big yields, great taste - just wonderful.  So, I then took several clones from a GPF Mother plant in veg.  All 4 clones grew well in Rapid Rooter plugs, and then transplanted successfully to starter soil/Stonington Blend supersoil in 23 Liter pots.  At 10 weeks old, all 4 clones were very healthy and quite bushy, and fan leaf pruning was required (2 times) to open up the canopy.  At 12 weeks they were transplanted to 60 Liter grow bags in Stonington Blend soil and moved outdoors to an enclosure of mosquito netting.  All 4 clones became steadily worse once they were outside, however. Specifically, they continuously put out yellowed fan leaves with brown tips that "crumble" when touched. At 20 weeks old now, large portions of all 4 clones have just died away and contain no leaves.  They are still alive and starting to bud, but they are the unhealthiest plants I have ever grown.

Yellowed fan leaves with brown tips are usually a sign of nitrogen burn, in my experience, but I never gave them any additional nutrients.  New yellowed leaves with brown tips continue to appear every day on all 4 clones.  I am wondering if it is possible that the Stonington Blend supersoil is just too "hot" for these clones to thrive in. I grow year round, indoors and outdoors, and have quite a few years of experience.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's very sad to know that you lost all these clones. Apparently they did not addapt well to the differences between indoors and outdoors. It's not clear if you always use that soil. If it's the the first time you use it, there could be a possible relation. Also, were there any more clones from other strains? You usually do clones the same way and never had this issue?

This is the first time I used Coast of Maine Stonington Blend "supersoil" for clones. I knew they could be stressed by added nutrients, so I thought having a good soil alone would be a good way to go.  Also, before they went to the 60 Liter grow bags they were in this same soil already in 23 Liter pots, and they were robust and looked perfect at 10-12 weeks.  I didn't clone any other varieties this time, but I gave 2 of the 6 clones to a friend, and he told me two days ago that he has had exactly the same problem - yellowed fan leaves with brown, "crispy" tips, and his plants have hardly matured at all. I do have more experience growing from seed than cloning. Some of the clones after moving outdoors were not very robust physically - I had one branch crack on a clone after heavy foliar watering.  I find it particularly odd how large sections of the plants had all their leaves die (lower part of left hand picture).  I don't remember ever seeing that before on any plant.
